A professional cleaning may be completed at the same appointment or scheduled separately, depending on your clinical needs and the time available.
Once the information has been gathered, we will review the findings with you. If treatment is required, we will explain what appears most urgent, what can reasonably wait and what options may be available. Our aim is to provide enough information for you to make a comfortable and informed decision.

Necessary dental X-rays are also considered safe during pregnancy when they are properly selected and clinically justified. We review each patient’s health history, stage of pregnancy and individual needs before recommending care, and we can communicate with the patient’s physician or obstetrical provider when additional medical guidance would be helpful.
Our 3D intraoral scan does not use ionizing radiation and can provide a useful visual record of the teeth and bite. It does not replace an X-ray when an X-ray is needed to diagnose a problem, but it can help us explain findings and plan care with the patient.
